So the big idea behind my new gig as a visual guy at Georgia Public Broadcasting is that I am going to produce short video pieces (call them micro-docs) which I can then retrofit as radio pieces. I
t has been about a month for me on the job. After a piece on C02 emissions that I kind of thought worked, I have this video and radio piece from the Big O Singer Songwriter Camp.
The Big O is for Otis Redding. It's his family, through the Otis Redding Foundation, that puts on the summer camp for mostly high school aged students. Beyond basic music education, the camp looks to peel back the curtain on the actual business of music for campers.
